First Of All, This is my personal impression about them.
Well, the difference is way big between the two stores:
The Google Android "Googleplay" The Apple iOS "Appstore"
vs.
vs.
Apple with its stubborn rules and regulations, makes the apps too easy for everyone, literally, even childern can work it out. That's the reason Apple products are so popular.
In the other hand, Google forgets to put some strict rules. No wonder most of the Googleplay apps are either trash or prank joke! Very disappointing indeed. But it is justified knowing that Google is doing it, to attract programmers, developers and more users.
I'm an ex-iOS user myself, and I felt free when I knew exactly what I need. At the moment, if you're uncertain of your skills, I advise you to go with the Apple products. Otherwise, try the Android, it's your world, build it your way.
